14th April - Musical Theatre Improv Workshop
14th April - Musical Theatre Improv Workshop
Laura and Will from Game Called Chat Improv are returning with another pair of narrative and narrative musical improv workshops on 7th and 14th April.
These will be two three-hour workshops which will start by going over some improv and musical improv basics and theory before covering a few different narrative techniques and musical improv song styles.
In the second half of both sessions, there will be an opportunity for everybody to participate in a 20-25 minute performance; the performance time at the end of the sessions are quite a unique opportunity to try out a long-form show in a safe and supportive environment, which can otherwise be difficult to find.
These workshops are a perfect opportunity for beginners to try out narrative or musical improv, but would also be beneficial to those with some improv experience wanting to stretch out their improv muscles! Whilst it’s ideal for beginners to improv, attendees should have some performance experience (plays, musicals, comedy, etc). Anybody who came to the first pair of Bare workshops would also learn plenty of new things during these workshops.
