Bare Productions was founded in 2017 with a simple mission: to create exciting, accessible, and inclusive theatre for the people of Edinburgh and beyond. Community is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re passionate about making theatre a place where everyone feels welcome.
Our journey began with a small but mighty team bringing You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Since then, we’ve grown into a vibrant company that produces annual musicals and a wide range of creative projects — giving local talent the chance to shine both on stage and behind the scenes.
Beyond our mainstage productions, we’ve expanded into a variety of creative initiatives that bring our community together in new ways. From cabaret nights and concerts to table reads and masterclasses, we love exploring different formats that showcase talent and spark collaboration. We’re also passionate about using theatre as a force for good, regularly partnering with charities to raise awareness and support important causes.
Alongside our own work, we’re proud to collaborate with and support Edinburgh’s wider amateur theatre scene. By working together, we strengthen the community, celebrate creativity, and keep the spirit of live performance alive.
